POLICIES

Payment Policy:

All payments must be made at the beginning of each session. My fee is 50.00$ per 60 minute individual therapy session, 60.00$ per 60 minute couples therapy session, and 40.00$ per 60 minute group therapy session. All telephone calls with your therapist are billed at 25.00$ per every 15 minutes for calls that require therapeutic intervention.

Cancellation and No Show Policy:

I require 24 hour notice of a cancellation of your appointment. You can do this via call or text to 518.848.7619 or via email at [email protected] . For any appointments that are not cancelled within 24 hours or appointments where you do not show you will be charged a 25.00 $ late fee. Payment for late cancelled or no show sessions must be made in order to schedule another appointment.

Confidentiality:

Our therapeutic relationship is a very personal, private matter. All information exchanged during our therapy sessions is private. On occasion I may ask for your written permission to communicate with other professionals whom you have had contact with to help assist in our treatment plan. No contact will be made with any outside agency, program, or professional without your written consent. The following exceptions apply:

  • Duty to Warn and Protect

If you disclose a plan or threat to harm yourself, the therapist must attempt to notify your family and notify legal authorities. In addition, if you disclose a plan to threat or harm another person, the therapist is required to warn the possible victim and notify legal authorities.

  • Abuse of Children and Vulnerable Adults

If you disclose, or it is suspected, that there is abuse or harmful neglect of children or vulnerable adults (i.e. the elderly, disabled/incompetent), the therapist must report this information to the appropriate state agency and/or legal authorities.

  • Insurance Providers

Insurance companies and other third-party payers are given information that they request regarding services to the clients.

Contact with your therapist in between appointments:

You may contact me in between appointments via voicemail with any issues regarding scheduling appointments, policy concerns, billing concerns, or other non-clinical concerns. . I strive to respond to communication requests within 24-48 hours. In case of a life threatening emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.   • Social Media:

I am committed to maintaining a professional and ethical boundary with all of my patients which includes protecting our therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I will not accept “friend” requests or communicate with you via any form of social media in any way with current or former clients. .
